Boot Camp Week 10

We are more then HALF WAY through boot camp. It is becoming a LOT easier but I still cannot wait for it to be over!

Some funny things that have happened recently...

Ben is a VERY VERY vivid dreamer when he is stressed out. Which means I have been:
Pushed out of bed because he is running drills in his sleep.
Elbowed in the face because he is pulling hose in his sleep.
Kicked repeatedly because his is running the tower in his sleep.
We also have very interesting conversations in which I have been called "Sir" "Chief Reynolds" "Specialist Lawrence" and "Captain Rhoades". He has also yelled "Yes, Sir!" and "No, Sir!" in his sleep.

As funny as this all is... I cannot wait to have a good nights sleep again!

I have to make his lunches everyday and recently he decided he needs 3 sandwiches. I am going through nearly 3 loaves of bread every week! It's a little ridiculous!

Ben and Eve have been sick this last week, both coughing and runny noses and both grumpy!
One of the other recruits was diagnosed with bronchitis earlier this week so Ben came home and insisted we all go to the doctor.
Luckily Ben only has a sinus infection and Eve has an ear infection and Chloie has pink eye... and I got all three... I'm just lucky I guess...
So we are ALL on antibiotics, Eve seems to be feeling better. I've always been hesitant to give Chloie medicine (she has never had a fever so I've never seen a reason to give her anything) and the same goes for Eve, she hasn't had a fever with her ear infection so I hadn't given her any Tylenol which the pediatrician seemed a little surprised about... so he told me to give Tylenol every 6 hours until her infection is cleared up. I feel better about giving medication when I am being told to by someone who knows what their doing.
Ben on the other hand woke up today feeling WORSE... and I'm sure most of you will agree with me when I say SICK HUSBANDS ARE THE WORST!!! Constant complaining, but refuses to take medicine unless I force him too, and lays on the couch all day like he's dying. I mean, yeah I feel bad that he is sick and still has to go work his butt off at boot camp but it's a sinus infection... you will survive. hahaha.
Chloie and I are feeling better. (she HATES the eye drops I feel like the WORST mommy ever having to pin her down 4 times a day and force drops into both of her eyes.) :(

Update on the puppies.
So far I have 3 Boys and 3 Girls left to find homes for so if anyone is interested or knows some one who would like a FREE puppy, please contact me.  I'm hoping to be able to send them to their new homes by the end of march, I am babysitting Toby (My in-laws dog) that last week of march and I don't think I can handle 9 puppies, Allie, Toby, and My two kids. So hopefully they willl be ready to go before then. :)

Well, that's all for now. Gonna take my kids for a walk around Oquirr Lake! Loving this spring weather! :)

  1. Love the stick family (and sorry for the sick family). We heal a lot faster with extra downtime and sleep but it's rare to be afforded the luxury.
