Day of Love

This year for Valentines Day Ben was gone at boot camp so it was just myself and my babies.
It was pretty uneventful, it's too cold outside to take Eve anywhere and hauling 2 kids around somewhere was not my idea of fun. So we stayed home and pretended that it was just another Thursday. I haven't been able to go the grocery store this week so I didn't have any fun Valentine Day food to make or anything.
Then Chloie found my camera and brought it too me and started saying Cheese.
So I set up and makeshift photo shoot for my kids and I.
It was really fun, Chloie LOVES having her picture taken and I thing Eve is getting used to it. :)

So here are our Love Day pictures.
I've gotta say that I think I may have the cutest Valentines ever! :)

Before and After

I don't think any one can really understand how unbelievably excited I am about this...

We moved in to our house almost 4 years ago and I have been wanting to paint my baseboards and trim since we saw the house the first time. EVERYTHING in our house has been tan (walls, trim, baseboards, carpet, tile.) and all the same shade of tan. It has been driving me CRAZY!
So I FINALLY bought white paint and a ton a painting tape and got to work...
3 days later, my entire main floor of baseboards and trim is white and my upstairs hall way is nearly complete (ran outta tape...).

I AM IN LOVE! It looks a million times better, made the carpets look better and the tan walls aren't quite as ugly as I've always thought they were. It just makes everything look better....

here's my proof...
BEFORE and AFTER!

And me... this is pretty much what I have looked like the past 3 days of painting... no make up, hair is a mess, wearing sweats.
Painting the whole house is a lot of work but totally worth it!

Chloie's To Do List

I made a framed to do list for my kitchen a few weeks ago and it had mostly "mommy to dos", which seemed kinda silly to me. I can't really be the only person in our house that should be doing something daily.
So I made a "Chloie to do list" and a "Eve's to do list"

Eve has one "chore" (which is mainly just so I remember...) its TUMMY TIME! :)

Chloie's "chores" each day are
1. Take a bath/ get dressed/ and get a hair do!
2. brush teeth
3. Try out the potty
4. Color/ Create/ or bake something (with mommies help of course)
5. Sing/ dance/ and learn something new

Today she chose to create something.
I didn't even know she was doing it til she came running into my room yelling "Mom, Mom, all done!!!" she grabbed my hand and dragged me down the hall where I found this....
Chloie was so excited about it, she jumped up and down and gabbered nonsense at me and pointed at it.
Chore number 4 done. :)

Then we played for a bit...
 She makes the best faces!
Then it was time to take a quick power nap on Allie!
LOVE THESE TWO :)
I LOVE that Chloie is starting to know what her "chores" are and does them with out being told or prompted to. It's great!
